My dad taught us how to ride a horse and how to put a tackle on and reel in trout. He took us around the world and gave us a wonderful childhood. He was at times a private person who kept part of his life closed off; he never spoke of negative things he was going through. I suspect it was his way of shielding us from unpleasant things. He was for the most part very compassionate, conservative, and was a protective father who made welcome our spouses. We ended all our calls with I love you. I shall miss him dearly. Love you Dad.
